What a badge proves, and what it does not
A tier is a colour. The panel on every property page shows the four underlying checks, including the ones nobody has done.
Why a colour is not enough
A tier collapses several very different assurances into one word. Somebody proved who they are. Somebody proved they may let this property. Somebody looked at the building. The map pin is where they say it is. Those are four separate things, and a colour cannot carry which of them happened.
This matters because the badge used to be exactly that. A property showed "Gold Verified · Inspected & GPS-confirmed" while the table that records who checked what held no rows at all — for that property or any other.
The four checks
Every property page carries a panel headed "What has been checked", listing all four with the state of each and the date where one applies.
- Lister identity — the Ghana Card was checked against the account holder, and where a selfie was taken, matched to it
- Authority to let — ownership or written management authority was supplied and checked
- Property inspection — named by method, with the date it was done and the date it lapses
- Location confirmed — GPS coordinates were captured at the property during a visit
Checks that were not done are shown, not hidden
A check with no record appears in the list marked "Not done". It is not omitted and it is not implied by the tier.
A four-item list showing one done and three not is honest. A list showing only the check that passed reads as a complete set, and that is how a gold badge came to imply an inspection nobody had performed.
Each check states its own limit
Alongside what a check proves, the panel says what it does not. Identity says who someone is, not how they will behave. Authority can lapse; it was confirmed at the point of checking. The map shows an approximate area, never an exact address. An inspection reflects the property on the day it was visited.
Omitting the limit is how a check gets over-read, and over-reading is what a renter about to send money can least afford.
What to do with this as a renter
Read the panel before the badge. If the inspection line says "Not done", nobody from Domicium has seen the property, whatever tier the account holds elsewhere.

- 2Look at the inspection line first: was it documents, video, or a physical visit?
- 3Check the date. An inspection tells you about the day it happened.
- 4If anything you are relying on says "Not done", ask for it before you pay anything.
