Choosing the right role
The four things you can sign up as, what each one changes, and why estate agent is not on the list.
The four options
Your role decides which dashboard you land on and whether you can create a listing at all.
- I'm looking to rent — search, save, apply, message and manage a tenancy.
- I'm a landlord / owner — list a property you own, directly to renters.
- I manage property — manage rentals for owners who have authorised you.
- I'm a contractor / artisan — offer repair and maintenance work to landlords.
Why there is no agent role
Estate agents are deliberately absent from the list, and absent from the roles table behind it. The listing check is a property of the role, so there is no account type that could be given permission to list on someone else's behalf without being their authorised manager.
A property manager is not a workaround for this. A manager lists for owners they hold authority for, and that authority is one of the things checked at the silver tier.
If you picked the wrong one
Role changes are not something you can do yourself from the interface. Raise a complaint against Domicium from your dashboard, or contact support, and ask for the account to be corrected.
