Ending a tenancy
Notice, the move-out inspection, and what the platform does and does not handle.
Notice
The default clause provides for at least one month's written notice from either party, subject to the Rent Act of Ghana.
Your own agreement governs. Read its notice clause, because it may say something different from the default.
There is no end-tenancy button yet
The tenancy record carries the states pending, active, ended and terminated, but no screen currently moves a residential tenancy between them.
Give notice in writing through the platform's messages so both parties hold a dated record of it, and agree the move-out date there.
The move-out inspection
A move-out inspection walks the property area by area, rating each item as excellent, good, fair, poor, damaged or not applicable, with notes.
Poor and damaged are the conditions that typically lead to a proposed deduction. A rating on its own deducts nothing.
Then the deposit
Once the inspection is done, the deposit resolution begins. That is a separate, structured process with your review built into it.
If it goes wrong
Disputes can be raised through the complaints process, which keeps an append-only case history.
Nothing on the platform limits rights you hold under Ghanaian law, and the Rent Control Department can advise on a tenancy dispute.
