Verification & trust
Tiers earned with evidence — unverified, bronze, silver, gold — where the tier is a claim the platform can substantiate. Trust affects search ranking, so a badge granted without evidence would outrank honest listings. It cannot be bought.
What it does
Evidence-backed tiers
A tier may only be granted when the evidence behind it is on the account: identity, ownership or authority, inspection.
Inspection methods distinguished
Documents, live video walkthrough and physical inspection are recorded and displayed separately. A weaker check never borrows a stronger one's credibility.
Publication boundary
Only properties at bronze or above appear in public search, enforced in the database rather than by a query remembering to filter.
Checks expire
An inspection describes the day it happened. Checks carry the date done and the date they lapse.
Fraud scoring proposes
Risk scoring prioritises cases for human review. It never suspends, rejects or penalises anyone by itself.
How it works
The sequence an operator actually follows, not a feature list rearranged into steps.
- 1
A lister supplies identity and ownership evidence.
- 2
A verification officer reviews it and, where warranted, inspects the property.
- 3
A tier is granted only if the required evidence exists.
- 4
The property becomes publicly listable; checks lapse and are redone.
What the database guarantees
These hold whether or not the interface remembers to check.
- Unverified properties are not publicly readable — enforced by RLS, not by the application.
- Verification is never purchasable.
- A risk score cannot act on a user without a person deciding.
What it does not do yet
You will ask this in an evaluation, so here it is without being asked.
- Image-duplication detection across listings is not automated.
- Bank-account matching exists as a flag but is not integrated with a verification provider.
Works with
These share the same database, so nothing is re-keyed between them.
